Best microphones for Classical - Baroque Singers

I'm recording with a pair of Neumann KM 184 on a RME Babyface Pro.
Very excellent results. For all the instruments I've recorded, mostly baroque but also the piano.
I find though I need something that is more adapted for singers as the KM 184 details a little too much.
Any recommendations?

Second question :
As the Babyface only has two phantom power slots for these microphones any suggestions for another small (ideal not too much bigger than the Babyface Pro) for on location recordings that has at least four slots even better six?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

For recording on location I take an AETA 4MinX or Nagra VI recorder - both of these have 4 mic/line inputs and record on up to 8-tracks. Personally I don't like recording to a computer on location.

For piano I always use omnis as a directional mic. misses out the bottom end of the piano.

Keeping your budget reasonable, I would look at a Gefell M930 for vocals and a Sound Devices MixPre for the extra phantom powered mic. pre. to go into a line-in on your BabyFace.

I hope this helps.
