Audix CX-111 opinions?

Hello,

Does anybody have any opinions on the Audix CX-111? I read an interview with a recording engineer that compared it to a U87a, which seemed a bit far fetched to me. (Not that I'm an expert or anything, but I know Nuemann's reputation and that you get what you pay for...)

Anyway, opinions anyone?

I don't know anything about the CX-111, but I'm really interested to hear the new Audix CX211. It's just the mic I've been looking for, for toms in the studio. Unfortunetly, I have too many other wants before them. I already use 4 Beyer MCE-91s or 4 Shure SM-57 for toms when I want to mic them, so the Audix CX211s aren't on the top of my list right now. So, I guess I'll wait a year or so. But hey! That will give plenty of time for the price to go down since they're a brand-new release, so they'll be right at list price for a while.
