I have been loitering around for a while and hearing all the worthwhile things [recommendations] people have made about MXL603s and Octava 012 small condensers for acoustic guitar micing. As well as those Berringers for $35.
My question is: has anyone ever used the Audio Technica small condenser mics for guitar? Specifically the ATM33a or the AT pro37 mics?? How do they compare in bang for the buck.
I have seen the ATM33a for $188 and the pro37 for $129 or lower. Would you say you get more mic than a marshall 603 which can be had for $88 or so??
