I went ahead and did another mic test in order to answer the mail on another thread, here it is.

Audio-Technica AT2020 vs. PRO 37 Drum Overhead Mic Test - YouTube

Audio-Technica AT2020 vs. PRO 37 as Drum Overhead Mics:

SPECS: Recorded simultaneously in one take, all
levels set equally, 24-bit/44.1kHz into PreSonus
Studio One Professional via PreSonus 1818VSL
using identical Monster Standard 100 XLR cables. No mixing
(e.g., no compression, no EQ, levels at 0), overheads panned
hard left and right).

EQUIPMENT: Paiste 2002 22" Ride, Paiste 2002
17" Crash, Paiste Innovations 18" Thin Crash,
Sabian HHX Evolution O-Zone 18" Crash, Sabian
AAX 14" Studio Hats, Gretsch Catalina Elite 4-
Piece Drum Set

The microphones are physically side-by-side touching each other, so as to not influence the recordings with respect to mic positioning.

So which do you prefer and why?

I like the pro37 in this I feel like I could work with it better than the other mic. It seems more articulate and it seems like the snare is more present where the other one sounds more congested. I've always been a fan of LD's as room mics and SD's as overheads.

David, I put my AT2020 vs. PRO 37 preference and reasoning for it in that other thread if you are interested. Trying to keep this one from turning into a sh!tstorm like the ES/SM thread. Although, I am still new, so this too will likely implode for no good reason.
