Hello my friends
I have the AKG C3000B
In my opinion- It's rusty, cheap and has a thin sound !
What do you think about this mic ?
Im afraid the problem is not just my Mic, but also my audio interface (focurite saffire pro 40)
I want a mic to be sound warmy, and doesnt "change" the real vocal sound- Rusty and cheap!
What do I need to know before Im going to buy a Mic???
Do you have any suggestions
Thanks a lot
salman

If it is actually rusty, there's a very good chance that it has been deteriorated by exposure to water or high humidity. You can get information on specific models by look here. I can't make any recommendations without knowing what sort of recording you will be doing.

Must admit I've never been much of a fan of the C3000B for vocals or anything close up and requiring subtlety. It can take a high SPL source so sometimes it can be used on things like an electric guitar cabinet and I know some people who use it as a distance my with a more forgiving mic up close.

What you mean by rusty, I'm not sure--if it's literally rusty that's likely not helping the electronic innards very much!
