I am happy to announce that to my ears at a recent auction at a disbanding studio, My 4033 and their vintage U87 sound almost identical!! Little more soupy bass on the 87 but big whoopie it costs 10x as much as i paid for the 4033!! some people may want a neumann because they know what their getting and it's a trusted nam and a damn fine mic, but the 4033 still compared beautifully!! thought i'd share...
