The plg-100vh was pretty decent, in my opinion, I used mine all the time when I still had my motif.
Used it on my own vox as well as processing sounds through it (and groovy live processing for my turntables, too).
As for comparing it to other vocoders on the market, well, i'm not 'gon be able to do it.
The only other point-of-reference I have is the old school tube-in-the-mouth style, which I prefer to use anyway...
As far as being "worth it," I can't answer for you, but if I had another motif or an es, i'd certainly stick another plg100-vh in mine.
Since you just got your motif & you're concentrating on blowing it out, you may wanna check
the aieb-2 card first unless 2 outputs is enough. I got that & the 100-vh at the same time...
