When I release my keyboard's sustain pedal it moans like a walrus because the felt wrapping that cushions it from the guide pad has become compressed. About a year ago I took what I now think was bad advice and blew a little talcum powder in there. That worked for a few months, but now the moaning is back, loud as ever.
To replace the felt I'd have to break into the metal housing, and I don't think I can do that without making matters worse. Much worse. I'm open to suggestions.
For what it's worth, the keyboard is a Technics Digital Ensemble, SX-PR602, no longer in production.
