Korg Electribe EA1 for ambience?

Hi,

Can the Korg Electribe EA1 be used just to model an incoming (line-in) sound please, as opposed to adding a rhythm or beat to something? Am interested in ambient sounds which stretch out forever, often just one tone subtly shifting. Can I do this with the Korg Electribe EA1?

The EA isnt for beats, its a VA...and not a very good one. If you were adding bleeps and bloops to a recording it could prolly still be useful, but I would imagine it would take quite a bit of work for something more streched out and ambient imo

I recently had a couple hours with the Waldorf Blofeld and very nearly fell in love... Pretty easy/quick to create really nice pad patches. A bit menu-divey but in a kinda logical way that makes it ok...
It's on my want list.
