I'm new to the forum and a complete newbie when it comes to recording. I have two basic questions regarding the purchase of a keyboard for use with my Mac/Garageband. First, if I have say £125 to spend on a 61-key keyboard, what advantages are there to buying a controller like M-Audio Keystation over a basic keyboard like Yamaha PSR-E343 when both can be connected by midi and used as controllers. Obviously the latter choice can be used as a stand-alone keyboard which would be nice to have unless there are sufficient advantages in buying a similarly priced controller.
Second, can anyone recommend a specific controller or keyboard for about £125?
