I don't know if there are many DIY pedal guys here, but i thought i'd try before i went to DIYstompboxes forum.

Im looking to build a true bypass looper using a relay instead of a DPDT pushbutton.

    Anybody ever done this?

I know the wobo company makes them. If anyone has one I would love to see the guts.

    thx, Garrett

Where's this DIYstompboxes forum? I want in.
As to your question, I've never built one, sorry. I suck at actually working with electronics, I just like to think I know what I'm talking about.

You should be able to take any existing true bypass looper design and substitude a DPDT relay for the DPDT switch. I thought about building one, but decided to get the WOBO Midi Looper instead, because Midi-controlled is what I really wanted. I've been really impressed with it so far.
