Wow

Okay, I admit it, I am obsessed with guitars and have built up a decent collection over the years, including the first guitar I ever owned. I've let two go over the years that I regret now. Here is a list of the ones I have now.

Fender Strats:
1957 Mostly all original (5-6 condition)
1968 Original (7)
1973 Original (9)
1983 Original (8)
1994 Customized with Duncans (My main playing guitar)
1999 Reissue 1957

Paul Reed Smith - Artist Signature

Gibson custom shop Les Paul with 3 single coils
1960 reissue Les Paul
Gibson Lucille

Ibanez Prestige - 2 humuckers
Ibanez Prestige - hum-single-hum configuration
Ibanez 7 string

G&L S500
Parker Fly Classic
Metropolitan Tanglewood
Fender Tele '72 reissue thinline
Fernandes travel guitar

Acoustics:

Martin D25-K (koa wood 1977)
Larrivee L10 6 string
Larrivee 12 String - Special edition
Navarro Flamenco
Ovation 12 String
Hagstrom classic (1979)
Silvertone 6 string (my first)

Bass:

Fender Fretless Jazz bass
Rickenbacker (mid 1960's)

That's a serious mainline habit dude

I have 5 guitars...a classical (Ramirez), a steel-string acoustic (some weird Canadian brand - Simon & Patrick), an archtop jazz guitar (Epiphone Emperor), a Strat, and a Les Paul.

I also have a cheapo $99 Ibanez bass guitar.

Going to college far from home sucks insofar as I can only bring 2 guitars with me. I'm going to sell the acoustic, the archtop, and the Les Paul ASAP though and buy a nice new steel-string acoustic.

I love playing acoustic. :) My Ramirez = <3

4 electrics, 1 acoustic, 1 bass

Gibson Les Paul Studio
Fender '71 reissue Telecaster Thinline
Hagstrom Viking
beat to fuck unknown strat copy (neck was replaced long ago, someone wrote "Fender" in black marker on the headstock but the pickups sound like nothing else)

Martin 000x1 acoustic

cheap p-bass copy

I own,

Fender Squire (by Strat) - Black
Washburn WR 154/MPU - Purple
Ibanez RG170DX in Black customised with 'Flames' Paint job and EMG pickups
PRS SE 'Mark Tremonti' in Silver/White trim
Ibanez MMM1 'Mike Mushok' (Staind) Baritone
A 'Gould' Flying V copy - Needs some TLC and Repair tho
Ibanez Bass Guitar - GSR 190 JE - In Trans Red (I beleive)
Ashton - D 38CEQ Electric Acoustic

My Brother owns a Fender Tele Deluxe (Almost bought it for myself LOL!)

aha Thats just the guitar's in this house..

I only have 2 a yamaha classical and a Pacifica. Both sound great, but I've been severely lusting after new guitars. There's a black Martin I desperately want, and I'm also in the market for a fender strat.
My deal is I will probably only buy guitars that cost under 400$ because I actually like to take them out and play live. I also played a yamaha flamenco guitar which sounded great, as well as a couple epiphone guitars which I loved. Must stop gear lust!

Here's my small collection:

'92 Ibanez RG760
'90 Les Paul Studio w/ gold hardware
'02 Larrivee DV-05E

...and my friends thought I had too many guitars.

I have updated my collection:

'92 Ibanez RG760
'90 LP Studio
'02 Larrivee DV-05E
'04 SX Jazz Bass
'06 G&L Legacy HB
'09 Jackson Dinky

I have 5.

Yamaha Compass acoustic
Fender USA Standard Telecaster
Fender Mustang
And an Epiphone Les Paul and an Ibanez Talman acoustic that I don't play anymore...hold onto them for the memories!

I don't have any intentions of buying anything new any time soon (except for a bass to record with), and all my guitars are bought new.
I love the idea of having something from the start of it's life...and then any dinks or marks I know are mine and I feel like I create a real history with it.

I also like keeping things simple (hence having so few instruments).
I like learning all about a certain guitar and then really using that sound as my own...plus I'm really fussy.
For me and my style, the Tele and the Mustang compliment my playing perfectly. Same goes for the Yamaha.

Strange how an instrument becomes an extension of yourself.

I think this is 18:

Gibby LP Studio P90 WB. Wicked P90 tone, great setup outa da box, very comfy neck.

If you're referring to the '50's Tribute' models that many are salivating for, no. These WC/WF P90 Studios are mostly available in Europe, though I don't know for how long.

I currently have eight guitars of various brands from Fender to Hagstom, acoustic and 12 string. I used to have a '57 Les Paul Jr. that looked a lot like this studio here, but sold it because it was a single pickup and I really wanted a Strat. I hope to catch a Rikenbacker soon or maybe a Gretsch. I love the sound of the Riky.

I was reading some of the earlier posts and most listed their gear....so

1973 Stratocaster with texas specials
1982 Hagstrom Swede #87 of the last Swedish made 129
1982 Ovation Balladeer 6 string
1984 Yamaki 12 string acoustic
???? Hondo strat copy (plays nice, sounds good)
2010 Fender tele squier CV series...really nice guitar ( I know... Squier?)
1980something Ibanez RGsomething (Nephew has it. Not sure of model)
Regent Japanese Bass with Jazz pickup and pots. Plays and sounds o.k.
Ibanez roadstar 2 Friend borrowed it and disappeared. Seriously, I have no idea where he is. I guess I can kiss that one goodbye. I had put my original Strat pickups in it when I bought the Texas Specials.
That's it........FOR NOW...MWHAHAHAHAHAH

If I can remember them all:

79 American Strat
06 Deluxe Strat (American)
06 Deluxe Tele (American)
'00 Les Paul Studio limited color (Copper)
'00 Guild JF30 12 string
'67 Fender Villager 12 string acoustic
Jackson Dinky... why not... think it's a mid 90s
94 Mexican strat
Fender La Brea acoustic
Guild D55
Yamaha classical

Then there's 4 or 5 junkers at my parent's house that I need to sell.

Guitars

I recently started thinning out the herd and I have it down to 4 electrics and 2 acoustics.

Electrics -
2002 Fender Anerican Deluxe Strat
1992 Ibanez S540FM
1998 Gibson SG-Z
2004 Ibanez RGT42DX

Acoustics -

Takamine EC-333LTD
Sigma (not sure of the model)

Presently I am only a hobbyist bass guitar player.

I own one Electric bass, a Fender P-bass with Nylon strings and aftermarket active pickups.

Seven:-

An acoustic handmade for my uncle (which was my first guitar)
A Cort electro-acoustic for gigging, which I've also put a single coil soundhole on so that I can play it as an electric.

An Ozark Korean steel resonator practice and studio only as it has no pickups fitted.
A Jay Turser chinese plywood electric resonator. Cheap as chips but this is my main gigging guitar - at least I don't have to worry about dropping it!

A 1964 Hofner Verithin. I feel kind of bad about this - I watched this lovely guitar sit unplayed at my Dad's house for years while he played his strat and pestered him to give me it. When he eventually did I tried gigging it twice and really struggled with the feedback and it's not done much since :-(
A Yamaha Pacifica 112 - charity shop find, just an extra texture for recording with.
A Dean Evo - a far east one. £40 from an ex-bandmate - I used to gig this a lot, but it eventually gave way to the acoustic with the soundhole pickup.

Plus a uke, a mandolin (awaiting repair) and a cigar box guitar (of my own construction and awaiting completion), but bear in mind I'm actually a harmonica player....

A number, depending on what I'm playing.

PRS Custom 22
1979 USA Fender Strat (my fave)
A few les pauls
Fender Tele Deluxe
A washburn acoustic that I love...!
Rickenbacker bass
Fender Jazz bass
Music Man Stingray
then the random ones...
The mando, banjo, uke etc etc.

The 79 strat is the guitar of choice for live and usually for recording too...! Although the PRS has got it's merits...!
