Epi Double neck in da house!

Was this purchase purely for want of a Page look-alike copy...or do you have actual performance need for a 6/12 string combo?

first post:
........"borrowed from a friend, i'm not sure if it's ever been used on a recording before."

so, no, i didn't buy it,
just am using it....

if i was to get one, i'd want a white one,
like alex uses!

LOL

this particular avatar cab came with a Celestion Heritage G12H-55....
but after about a year, i swapped it out with a really old more rare celestion G12C-30, the only way you can get a G12C these days, is to buy a Marshall Hendrix or vintage modern cab.
they do not sell these anywhere, they are specially made for marshall.

i moved the heritage G12 up to the roland cab you see in the shot, that has the watermark across it.
it sounds a lot better in that cab, for some reason.

the avatar is closed back, the roland is open back.

Sorry...didn't catch the "borrowed" part....I was more focused on your "p0rn" pictures in that first post. :D ;)

My Avatar is open-back.
I've had 4-5 different speakers in it over the several years I've owned it.
It's like...any time I get a new amp/cab...I kinda reevaluate my speaker choices and often I'll shuffle things around just to see what fits best with what.
The WGS Invader was what sounded best with the custom head I'm using:
Carl's Custom Amps - Voodoo Child
Mine is a two knob version (volume/tone), black Tolex w/gold piping

i've been interested in that particular speaker for quite a while now.....

thing is,
i rarely play out,
my speakers are chosen more for recording, than live reinforcement,
and since i've got (4) different speaker cabs,
and another power amp,
i really don't need a higher power speaker than about 30 watts--
probably the green beret would be the one i'd try....

I don't play out either.

The Invader with the Avatar (and the head I'm using) gave me a more balanced crunch tone.
