$500 Price Increase on LPC this week

This year there was an overall price increase of about 29%. The big "G" or the big "H" is out of his everloving mind.

But (sigh) they will sell.......mostly to people who don't actually play.

The silver lining is that used and vintage Gibson Values are going up. Earlier Customs with actual REAL ebony boards will become very desirable.
 
True - but this is a Canadian only price increase as far as I can tell.
The Gibson web page still shows $4199. US
The conversion is somewhere around 5200 Canadian.
But the street price is almost always less - so in this case 4699. Canadian.
Still glad I bought mine last year as this price will never go down now.
If I get rich (lol) I will probably try to find a used one with an ebony board though.
Tired of the Richlite bashers.
L and M is the GC of Canada - but have great people working there (it's just the biggest chain in Canada)

Just checked the price on Long and McQuade's site for Gibson Les Paul Customs
The price is now up to $5,849.00 CDN :eek:

I bought mine in July 2014 for $4,199.00 CDN so I saved $1650 (so far lol)

Jeez....

Gibson's site shows $4,799 US which is $6940.75 CDN so street price is quite a bit lower.
MF (Canadian Quote) = CAD 7,366.08 / List: CAD 10,311.59
