What MIDI controller to control Cubase or Logic ?

Anyone knows a good MIDI controller to use with Cubase or Logic that works smoothly with the program and has been already tested by some of you ?

I cannot afford a MAckie control surface or anything like that (it would be a nonsense for me anyway), but a fader MIDI controller would be just the right thing to mix my projects on PC...
