Using mainstage in a live performance

Anyone do this? My band currently use a microkorg live, but we're totally out of sounds. Keyboard player has logic/mainstage licence on his home mac, we're considering buying a macbook to run it on and significantly expanding the sounds we can use.

Does anyone do this, can anyone offer any advice/consideration/etc? I'm not even sure what kind of macbook we'd be able to get away with...

According to Apple: "The MainStage interface is designed especially for live performance", so it can be done.

When you say totally out of sounds do you mean that you can't find one, you have used them all, or you have no presets left to save your own sounds.

I use mainstage for Guitar synth and vocal effects. It works really well. There is a bit of a learning curve but once you spend the time you can do incredible things with it. The best $30 I have spent on any software.
