PhantomPower and XLR-TELE

Q1: I have a mackie 1604VLZ-Pro. My drummer has bought a drum-mice-kit. Two of these seven mikes requires phantom power. The mixer only have phantom on/off.

How do I solve this if I want to record all seven mices in one take?

Q2: I have lineout (XLR) on my guitaramp. Can I connect this directly into my mixer's mic-inputs, or do I need to buy a plug so that I can connect a XLR cable into the line-ins (TELE)??

Thanks for answers!!!

Most mics will work with or without phantum power. Check the specs to be sure.

Use the XLR cable from amp to mixer. Be sure to turn mixer gain down and your guitar amp will be feeding a hotter line level signal.

Ed's right, you'll be fine. Dynamic mics ignore phantom power. Just make sure everything is connected and all trims are turned down before you turn the phantom power on. When you're done, turn everything down and shut off phantom power before disconnecting mics, etc.
