Here is the currently Rig I'm working with:
Nord Stage EX88
M-Audio Keystation88
HP pavillion(running Forte2.0 performance edition)
Saffire Pro 14
FCB1010 Behringer Midi Foot Controller
So far the gear would run quite smoothly during performances, the only problem really being that my laptop would crash during rehearsals from time to time. Sometimes it would take forever to get the software to load and moments later I would get a visit from the infamous "blue screen of death". The moment where something like this could happen at a live show is certainly a possibility so I want to try to avoid it by finding alternatives to the laptop.
Of course I'm sure there are ways I can use the laptop and still improve my situation, but I feel like if I could just download the sounds I'm using from Forte 2.0(within Forte I'm using a rom synthesizer plugin called "Nexus2") into my nord, and just change sounds from that Keyboard, I would have more effective, certain results at rehearsals and shows, and of course, much less gear to lug around.
Is there anyone here who can help me this? I definitely need all the help I can get.
