Olympic 1003 restoration complete..great pictures

I have totally restored my rare 14"x6.50" Olympic(premier) snare drum.. 1960's lavender wrap....supposedly none are ever really seen...this drum is pure mint...all original parts in awesome shape...like it was played for a year and stored...check it out at this link...anyone have anymore info on this model, etc. please clue me in...click thread and enjoy! Nice. My very first kit was a set of Olympics that I bought when I was 11.

Did you not have trouble finding skins that fit? I remember not being able to find skins because, supposedly, the dimensions were metric. So it wasn't quite 14", or 12" for the toms, etc....
 
Yeah, Olympic is (or at least, was) made by Premiere, which is British. Maybe now everything's standard. But long ago, their dimensions were metric.
