What's that drum sound?

Hi! I'm relatively new to drum recording and I just recently found a great interest in eccentric drum sounds. I heard that song and I was wondering what were the tools used to create the drum sound. It's floors and... That sort of hyper resonant snare/high-saturated stroke... I'm not entirely sure. Anyone has any idea how that was done? I would say that's some sort of designed sound...maybe a layering of 2-3 sounds.
IOW....I don't think that's just a snare with some FX added.

Could be some Latin percussion gizmo layered on top of another sound...claves, castanets, guiro...?....or maybe it's a totally synthesized sound...?
