Odery drums?

I've been offered an Odery Privilege 5 piece kit for £600, mint condition. Was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them, any good?

I have personally never heard of them. What are the shells made out of?

That's just it, I don't know! I've seen everything from Brich, Bubinga to Araucaria. I know they're from Brazil.

The kit cost him the best part of 2k when he bought it, I'm kind of thinking it's a bit of a bargain and it does sound really nice!21035176_10213534756660698_1987735238_o.jpg21037739_10213534756260688_2048552926_o.jpg21057120_10213534756340690_1363906929_o.jpg

Some pics of the kit.

I'm currently playing a Ludwig Elements kit, it's served me well. I'm thinking of demoting that to my practice kit and taking the Odery along to gigs.

Odery were regarded as kind of boutique-ish back some years ago. I was building ply shells and on the drum making forums, Odery were highly thought of..........I reckon you've got a bargain.:thumbs up:

Well, picked them up earlier today. Instantly set them up to check tuning and have a play. Man these things are incredible! I'm loving the tone of the floor tom and the kick in particular. Considering the FT is a 14x14 it has a lot of meat to it. The kick sound is to die for, it's a 22x18, the perfect balance of click and thud for me. I can see me playing these for a long time to come.

:thumbs up:Awesome!!! I tried to be conservative in my opinion of them but they are supposed to be pretty good.

Enjoy.
